STYC hosted the Virgin Islands Opti Dinghy Championships March 5th-6th. With over 40 sailors from STT, STJ, STX, BVI, and Puerto Rico it was quite an event! You can find results here: http://www.regattanetwork.com/event/11781
Our Jr. Opti gang traveled to Biscayne Bay last weekend to the Sunshine State Regatta that had nearly 200 entries from all over the United States. Mia Nicholosi, Katha Majette, Julian and Max van den Driessche, Victoria Flatley and Rayne Duff all represented the Club very well. Mia won the regatta with a string of bullets. Rayne Duff was right on her transom finishing third overall. Way to go team!
Next up for the team is Opti South Americans in Ecuador March 16th-23rd. Good luck and sail fast.
